Decom North Sea Lunch & Learn Event

Decom North Sea (DNS), the offshore oil and gas decommissioning forum, will be hosting a lunch and learn event to provide attendees with an insight into supply chain companies’ decommissioning capabilities. This event is to take place on 19 June 2013 at the Palm Court Hotel in Aberdeen, UK, from noon-2pm, where three companies will give presentations on their expertise and raise awareness of their services.

The event is one in a regular series of talks to allow both members and non- members of DNS to attend presentations from major operators and contractors, along with an opportunity to collaborate and network.  This month's lunch and learn will include presentations from EOT Cutting Services, Norisol Norge AS and SMRU Ltd.

EOT Cutting Services provides decommissioning solutions to businesses within the oil and gas industry. The company provides cutting equipment to projects that require topside or subsea cutting and has achieved global recognition.

Also presenting is multidiscipline company, Norisol Norge, which will be providing information on its vast expertise in specialist support and decommissioning services.

SMRU Limited is a global leader in marine mammal consultancy, delivering innovative and environmentally sound solutions to clients working in the marine environment. With considerable experience on the effects within the marine environment, SMRU Limited helps clients meet the regulatory regulations regarding the impact of their operations.

DNS has grown since its inception in 2010, to have more than 220 members drawn from operators, major contractors, service specialists and technology developers. With annual decommissioning expenditure in the North Sea forecast to top GBP1billion within a few years, DNS was set up to tackle the main areas of weakness, which are inhibiting decommissioning supply-chain capability.
