Horizon Geosciences Simultaneously Operates 3 North Sea Site Investigation Vessels

Horizon Geosciences continues its increased involvement in the North Sea renewables market, marked by the milestone of having three simultaneously mobilised site investigation vessels working on different offshore wind farm projects last month. All three vessels will now congregate to work on the same project ensuring that required time frames for data delivery are met.

The Horizon Geobay, now in its 5th year as a predominantly geotechnical drilling vessel, was completing a series of sampling boreholes at a Scottish offshore windfarm, whilst the Kommandor Stuart in her second year with Horizon Geosciences performed a multibeam bathymetric survey for a UK offshore windfarm and the newly mobilised Atlantic Carrier carried out seabed geotechnical operations at a potential French offshore windfarm site.
