Ocean Business Offers a Wide Range of Exhibitors, Demos and Speakers

Over 340 exhibitors from all over the world are offering the very latest technologies, water-based demonstrations, and learning and networking opportunities at the upcoming Ocean Business exhibition. More than 5,000 visitors from over 60 countries are expected to visit one of the biggest marine technology events across the globe. The Ocean Business show is taking place at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton from 9-11 April 2019.

Economy in 2010

The exhibition organizers have just revealed a line up of industry experts to present speeches in the opening session to take place 9 April. Claire Jolly, Head of IPSO Unit Ocean Economy Group, OECD, will be presenting a keynote speech about the scope of the economy in 2030. This presentation will provide an insight into current trends and emerging markets for ocean science and technology products and services.

Industry experts

The session will then delve into business opportunities for the ocean technology community in a growing ocean economy, with presentations from industry experts including Ralph Rayner, President, Society for Underwater Technology (SUT); Rick Spinrad, President, Marine Technology Society (MTS); and David Loosley, Chief Executive of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

Autonomous and unmanned vehicles

Offshore Survey (10-11 April) is a technical conference focusing on the technology, operations, and business issues in the global field of offshore surveying. The 2019 conference has a great line up of papers covering autonomous and unmanned vehicles, imaging, data and future perspectives, amongst others. Two days of inspiring, intriguing and thought-provoking sessions that offer an insight into innovative technologies, case studies, and reality checks as well as some insight on the future potential of offshore surveys.
