Seafloor Systems Prepares Dockside Demos at Ocean Business ’17

Seafloor Systems will conduct dockside demonstrations of the fully autonomous EchoBoat-G2-ASV, featuring a Multibeam sonar system, integrated with INS and sound velocity probe. It allows the hydrographic surveyor to pre-plan survey waypoints, upload via RF to the vehicle, and have it automatically carry out the survey without user input. Hydrographic surveyors can reliably and effectively tackle multibeam surveys in shallow waters or difficult to reach areas when conventional survey boats are not an option.

The portable, multi-payload EchoBoat features dual-DC motors for ease of control and redundancy, non-corrosive materials, an integral transducer well and multi-sensor payload capability.

The dockside demonstrations will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 and 5 April 2017, followed by a classroom review on Thursday 6 April that will include a presentation of the autonomous multibeam survey data, taken from the previous days’ trials.

To secure a place in the demos, make a booking via email or visit Seafloor Systems during the exhibition, at Ocean Business Stand R7.
