Seawork International About to Board

Seawork International will open its doors for business from 14-16 June 2016. Around 7,500 attendees are anticipated to arrive on 14 June at its new permanent home of Mayflower Park, Southampton, UK. With a record 650 exhibitors and 70 vessels expected, numerous competitions and awards on top of an impressive seminar programme, 2016 is shaping up to be the event’s best ever year.

Adding to the exhibition’s success this year, the Atlantic and Pacific halls are being purpose-built, providing an improved visitor experience. The pavilions and trails will enable swift transit through specific areas of interest. The Marina is being constructed by exhibitor and Seawork stalwart, Walcon Marine, and vessels on display will range from all sizes and purpose, with many available for demonstration.

The programme for the three-day Seawork International Conference 2016, which is sponsored by marine insurance underwriters, Knighthood, has also been announced. The conference will once again be located onboard the Ocean Scene, which will be moored on the pontoons, sponsored by Close Brothers Aviation and Marine. This location will provide a superb platform for topical discussion specific to the commercial marine workboat sector.

Competitions and Awards

Entry to the highly popular seminars is free of charge and is available on a first come first served basis. This year, Seawork International will also be host to many competitions and awards, helping to spread the success and innovations in the industry. Through use of the official social media channels using #seawork and #commercialmarine, Seawork's competitions bring commercial marine brands and like-minded professionals together across a host of online platforms. This enables maritime professionals to fully engage with Seawork International’s audience and extend business reach.

On top of these, Seawork's Innovations Awards and Networking event showcases the best new products and solutions to enter the market during the year. Held on the evening of 14 June 2016, the event brings together industry professionals and celebrates successes achieved across the sector. This event is open to Seawork exhibitors, with submissions via the Seawork Exhibitors’ Manual.
