IHMC Completes Study for UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency

International Hydrographic Management Consulting (IHMC) has recently completed a Review of Actual and Current Arrangements for Carrying Out Routine Resurvry Tasks of the Civil Hydrography Programme for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The dynamic nature of the seabed in many areas within UK waters presents significant problems with respect to timing, extent and priority of resurveys. The study involved an examination of the use of selective scrutiny of features, morphodynamic models and the potential use of new technologies. It also included exploratory work on a Resurvey Management System as well as ways of furthering this work in cooperation with other countries surrounding the affected areas.
