New release Bathy DataBASE 3.1

The latest release Bathy DataBASE 3.1 from CARIS now works with Oracle Spatial 11g, utilising the GeoRaster and geo point-cloud data structures for storage. Oracle Spatial has been specifically designed to meet the needs of advanced geographic information system applications. CARIS continues to meet demands for robust and scaleable data management for the storage and analysis of expanding volumes of sonar and Lidar data.

This latest release of Bathy DataBASE expands the database system options available to clients following last year’s release of Bathy DataBASE 3.0, which offered the open source PostgreSQL database for backend storage. The PostgreSQL database option continues to be supported in the 3.1 release.

CARIS will be showcasing the Bathy DataBASE 3.1 software at the upcoming Ocean Business exhibition in Southampton, UK, from 5th to 7th April and the US Hydro conference in Tampa, USA, 24th to 28th April.

There also will be a free workshop at Ocean Business on 6th April at 3PM highlighting Bathy DataBASE 3.1.
