Subsea UK is hosting a breakfast briefing during OTC in Houston to demonstrate the significant value of innovative technology in improving efficiency and reducing costs in subsea operations. Part of a series of breakfast briefings organised by UK Trade & Investment, this event to be held on Tuesday 5 May, will showcase technology developed by three companies to an audience of 200 delegates from around the world and will highlight the significant commercial rewards that can result from innovation.

 

Ian Donald, vice president of DES Operations will examine the economic benefits of the company's patented multiple application re-injection system in well intervention.

 

A new autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) concept is being developed by Subsea 7 and global technology manager, John Mair, will demonstrate its potential to deliver a step-change in inspection and light intervention, similar to the game-changing impact on subsea exploration and production of remotely operated vehicles.

 

Andrew Stevenson and Mike Watchorn of IHC Engineering Business will unveil their research and development aimed at providing offshore vessels with enhanced capabilities which increase efficiency and performance while reducing costs.
