Oi18 in a Nutshell

There are now just two weeks to go until Oceanology International 2018 (Oi18) kicks off! Oi18 is the leading forum where people from industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the world’s marine science and ocean technology communities. Read on to get a peek of what you can expect at the 2018 edition of this key event for the marine and hydrographic industry.

Featuring companies such as iXblue, Teledyne Marine, Fugro, Sonardyne, Kongsberg Maritime, Forum, Saab and many more, the event welcomes the world’s top manufacturers and suppliers of ocean technologies & components as well as global service providers and contractors.

Among the visitors are global buyers, specifiers and users of marine and ocean technologies spanning industry, research, government and academia, and from a variety of end-user sectors. What unifies them is their interest in ocean technologies and services.

Product demonstrations and vessels

This year’s technical tracks will cover developments in hydrography & geophysics and unmanned vehicles & vessels, to name but a few (click here for the full conference programme). Visitors will also be able to attend live product demonstrations on the Royal Victoria Dock throughout the show (learn more about the demonstrations and the vessels on display at the Royal Victoria Dock).

Oi18 encourages all university students considering a career in the marine sector to visit the free exhibition and technical conferences. A Careers Day programme specifically designed for students will run on Thursday 15 March (find more information about the Careers Day here).
