Safe Software FME 2006

Continuing its initiative to deliver a complete Spatial ETL solution encompassing both raster and vector support, Safe Software has released FME 2006, that refines the authoring environment of the FME Workbench and incorporates over a thousand user-requested improvements. On the raster front, preview formats have been updated and new ones added. These include support for Oracle GeoRaster, allowing raster data to be loaded into an Oracle Database10gR2. Newly added is support for the Google Earth KML format. Also supported for the first time is GML 3.1.1. approved last May by the Open Geospatial Consortium as the standard XML-based group of formats for representing geographic features.
