Subsea Vehicle Theme Added to Boston UTS14

A second theme has been added to Teledyne Marine’s UTS Boston, taking place from 7 to 9 October 2014 in the USA. The seminar will focus around 'Subsea Vehicles' for customers considering use of AUVs, ROVs or other subsea vehicle platforms. This event provides a platform to engage with industry experts covering AUVs, ROVs, tow body solutions, multibeam echosounders, imaging and obstacle avoidance sonars as well as a wide range of subsea sensors and software solutions.

Among the speakers will be Justin Manley from Teledyne Benthos holding a paper on “SubSea Vehicles, ROVs, AUVs, Deep Tows” and Scott Biddlestone from Bluefin Robotics will lecture about “Advances in Sonar-Based Vertical Plane Collision Avoidance and Terrain Tracking for AUVs.”

On Thursday 9 October all UTS delegates are invited to an afternoon factory visit at the Bluefin Robotics headquarters, in Quincy, MA, USA. Delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about AUV technology, speak with industry experts, and witness Bluefin AUVs in person during a dockside demonstration. Many systems will be on display throughout the facility for a hands-on experience. Bluefin will be supplying round-trip transit from the Hyatt and a light lunch for all guests once onsite.

The UTS programme can be downloaded.
