Survey & Waypoint Training Registration Opens at OI China 2013

NovAtel, Canada, in partnership with SEAHORSE Geomatics, USA, and Seismic Asia Pacific Pty, Australia. will be conducting a series of training sessions on practical design, installation and operation of systems for hydrographic surveying. Training will also cover the use and benefits of NovAtel’s Waypoint post-processing software in hydrographic workflows. Registration officially opens during the Oceanology International (Oi) China at the INTEX in Shanghai from 3 to 5 September 2013.

GrafNav and Inertial Explorer  post-processing packages provide post-mission position, velocity, attitude and heave for demanding applications such as seafloor or inland waterway mapping, estuary erosion mapping or detailed engineering surveys. Post-processing maximises the accuracy of the solution by processing previously stored GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) data forward and reverse in time, and combining the results.

Scheduled for October 2013

The Hydrographic Survey and Waypoint training sessions are scheduled for October 2013 in Sydney and Perth, Australia and South East Asia, respectively. Sessions are five days with the first four offering hands-on, practical training encompassing systems theory of operation, sensor suite installation, calibrations, survey acquisition and data processing utilising high resolution mapping tools and leading software. The fifth day will focus solely on NovAtel Waypoint post-processing software training. Sessions will be conducted by representatives from SEAHORSE, Seismic Asia Pacific Pty. and NovAtel. Registration is available over the duration of Oi China at NovAtel booth E01.
