World Offshore Wind Database

Douglas-Westwood Ltd have released the new online version of their World Offshore Wind Database. Now available online, the database tracks offshore wind projects from conception through to realisation. The database is updated weekly by Douglas-Westwood’s analysts ensuring that users are always given the most up-to-date information possible. Same-day database updates occur when key industry developments unfold. The online database is designed with ease of use and speed in mind, allowing users to quickly search projects by key criteria. In one click full project details can be accessed. In addition, the entire database can be downloaded to allow user manipulation of the data to produce detailed market analysis and forecasts. Each project in the database has 60 information fields ranging from location, through project size, to forecast year online. Each project is backed with a full descriptive profile allowing users an accessible and informative background to each development. The database currently has information on: 192 projects; 69 GW of capacity; 17,000 turbines; US$ 108 billion of expenditure; 40,000km of subsea cables.
