World Ocean Council Launches ‘Affiliate Membership’

In response to an increasing number of individuals seeking to participate in the World Ocean Council, the WOC has launched an ‘Affiliate Member’ category. This enables individuals to become part of the only global multi-industry leadership alliance dedicated to ocean sustainable development, science and stewardship.

WOC Affiliate Members are fully part of the WOC cross-sectoral business community and will be able to engage with leadership companies from various ocean industries, including shipping, oil and gas, fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, offshore renewable energy, ports, dredging, cables, as well as the maritime legal, financial and insurance communities, and others. In addition, Affiliate Members benefit from information about and participation in key events regarding the business community and ocean sustainable development, access to WOC ‘Members Only’ pages and discounted fees at WOC events, including the Sustainable Ocean Summit.

Affiliate Members participate in WOC efforts to advance the global ocean sustainable development agenda and ensure the business community is an integral part of decision-making on the future of the ocean. WOC Affiliate Members are invited to take part in all WOC programmes and platforms, join WOC Member groups and become projects leaders in ocean sustainable development.
