Egbert Ypma studied Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering at Delft University. After his military service in the Dutch Navy he worked for Heerema (working on simulations, DP systems), Imtech (Integrated Bridge & DP) and Global Maritime (DP, FMEA). In 2005 he joined Marin where he worked at various departments. Since 2019 he is team leader of the new MARIN team Autonomy & Decision Support and responsible for the similarly named research program.
