John Hupp is a research scientist associate at the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas at Austin.  His background is in GIS and Remote Sensing with an emphasis on data acquisition and Lidar processing.  He has a BS from James Madison University and an MSc from the University of Glasgow and has been employed in the field of geospatial technologies since 2006.  He is currently working on projects involving Lidar and Hyperspectral imagery.
