To carry out their job well, hydrographic professionals need the right survey instruments and software solutions. The availability of a multitude of geophysical data acquisition systems – such as multibeam echo sounders, side-scan sonar and sub-bottom profilers – opens up many possibilities for using different survey configurations. In this issue of Hydro International, we present several real-life examples of how this is put in practice, while also zooming in on hydrographic survey data processing.
