32 Acoustic Positioning Transponders for PGS Geophysical

PGS Geophysical in Norway has taken delivery of 32 acoustic positioning transponders from Applied Acoustic Engineering in an order worth over 100,000 Euros. PGS specified AAE’s 915 mini transponders after successfully completing operations with them in previous projects.
The order, which also included specially designed flotation devices and battery chargers, demonstrates Applied Acoustics’ long standing ability to supply complete packages for major projects as comfortably as providing an off the shelf service.
One of the ever expanding range of transponders available from the UK manufacturer, the 915 offers a high degree of reliability and the flexibility to operate as a transponder, responder or pinger. Built to exacting standards and with a choice of beam patterns, all of Applied Acoustics’ transponders are compatible with most of today’s industry standard tracking systems.
