Airmar Opens Second Manufacturing Facility
AIRMAR Technology, USA, has hosted the grand opening of its second manufacturing facility "AIRMAREast" recently. AIRMAR’s growth prompted the company to expand manufacturing operations by building a second facility totalling 73,000 square feet. The new space is located directly across the street from the company’s existing headquarters.
The new building’s layout was planned using LEAN manufacturing principles, allowing for shortened product lead times and increased production efficiency.
Joining in the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony were Governor Maggie Hassan, Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Congresswoman Annie Kuster, representative Matthew Bartlett from Senator Kelly Ayotte's office, Milford town officials and media outlets from throughout the region. Tours of the AIRMAR facilities and an employee appreciation luncheon followed the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new facilities also provides professional openings for engineers, project managers and support staff to be added to the AIRMAR organisation.
