Ashtead Technology Moves

Allan Pirie as CEO of Ashtead Technology Offshore makes moves, starting with a move to the new global headquarters in Westhill, Aberdeen, UK. The new facility has doubled the company’s capacity incorporating offices, warehouse, maintenance workshops and a specialised calibration laboratory, representing a GBP750,000 investment.

Ashtead Technology has recruited 15 new staff in 2012 and the new base will enable further recruitment plans in 2013. The company has three fully serviced offshore supply facilities located in Aberdeen, Houston and Singapore as well as fully serviced agents in Norway and Australia.  The expanding service offering includes rental equipment, calibration, repair and maintenance, offshore personnel and bespoke engineered solutions.

As CEO Allan Pirie has ambitious plans to grow and develop Ashtead Technology, he has considerable experience of the subsea equipment solutions market and previously held the position of CFO within the company. Allan’s appointment brings experience and vision to the leadership team, whilst maintaining the company’s focus on high quality customer service.

This move comes as part of a global expansion strategy, which has also seen Ashtead Technology strengthen its presence in Singapore with a new facility and key management appointments earlier in 2012.

Founded in Aberdeen in 1985 and now offering one of the world’s largest fleets of subsea equipment to the offshore industry, Ashtead Technology offers in excess of 16,000 items incorporating positioning and survey equipment, ROV sensors and tooling, hydrographic, geophysical, inspection, repair and maintenance and diving equipment.  It offers 24/7 availability and technical support, specialising in local service with global resources.
