AUV Programme Manager

Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. (USA) has appointed Christopher S. Moore as Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Manager. He will be responsible for planning and managing all AUV activities associated with Phoenix’s recent acquisition of a 21 inch diameter Bluefin Robotics AUV. His responsibilities will include identifying potential markets, developing market penetration strategies, and executing those strategies.

Mr. Moore spent more than 25 years working for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) where he retired at the rank of Captain in the NOAA Corps. While at NOAA, Mr. Moore held operational and programmatic positions that included multiple Commands at Sea; Director, Homeland Security Program Office; Deputy Director, Integrated Ocean Observing System Program; and Liaison Officer, Oceanographer of the Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Physical Oceanography from Naval Postgraduate School, and was a Senior Executive Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He also holds a U.S. Merchant Marine license as Master for unlimited gross tonnage.

Mr. Moore will be based in Largo, Maryland where he will manage Phoenix’s worldwide AUV operations.
