CARIS Releases HPD 3.0

CARIS Hydrographic Production Database (HPD) 3.0 includes the addition of a 64-bit application, resulting in faster displays, faster exports and other operations where raster processing is involved. HPD 3.0 also includes a much simplified deployment process. A dynamic masking method is available, along with enhanced editing and checking tools for raster charting. HPD Publications provides an easier way to build custom catalogues for the user’s publication needs.

HPD 3.0 also offers expanded product options for paper charts and Inland Electronic Navigational Charts (IENCs), where different versions of an IENC product can now be created and managed. The Feature Palette has been redesigned and can handle several features in a single operation.
