Chris Riffe Joins Horizon Marine, Inc.

Horizon Marine, Inc. announces that Chris Riffe has joined the company as Manager Offshore Operations. Mr. Riffe brings over 25 years of experience in operational oceanographic work in the offshore industry and academic research communities. His range of experience includes oceanographic instrumentation integration, software development, survey planning and operations, vessel master (3,000 tons), and project manager for offshore measurement programs.
For Horizon Marine, Mr. Riffe will enhance the Eddy Watchsm Program with an increased offshore data collection and analysis capability. He will also manage Horizon’s Houston office.
Prior to joining Horizon Marine, Mr. Riffe held various positions of management in offshore service companies and was responsible for the installation and coding of a large percentage of ocean current measuring systems aboard offshore rigs and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Riffe received his B.S. in Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina and his A.A.S. in Marine Technology at Cape Fear Technical Institute.
Horizon Marine is an oceanographic services company conducting its own real-time in situ ocean current measurements and analysis in the offshore Gulf of Mexico, Trinidad, and Venezuela regions.
