Competence and Training Manager for Atlas Professionals

Atlas Professionals (Atlas, The Netherlands) is welcoming Dingena Theunisse into its team as the new Competence and Training Manager. She expresses that demonstrating competence to clients can help contractual requirements and add confidence that they have the right person for the job. It also enables career progression for the individual while giving them ownership of their own development.

Dingena previously worked for Fugro Survey BV where she was amongst other things responsible for the creation, development and implementation of an offshore personnel development and performance system. Andrew Blears, UK operations director, explains that he has heard the debate regarding competence for freelance personnel for many years and decided it was time for Atlas to take the lead with this challenging process. He is proud to say that the first freelance contractors working through Atlas, are being certified at appropriate IMCA grades.

In the future, the aim is to integrate Atlas’ competence and training system into the quality management system and ISO9001.
