Deepwater Multibeam for COMRA

China’s Ocean Mineral Research and Development Agency (COMRA) has recently taken delivery of its R/V Da Yang for a new generation of deepwater multibeam technology SEA BEAM 3012. The upgrade to 3012 was installed in autumn 2002 and accepted in February 2003 following intensive deepwater trials. SEA BEAM 3012 offers a fully motion-compensated PC-based deepwater multibeam system, achieving motion compensation by swept beam technology.
