Differential Glonass Service for Veripos in Brazil
Veripos has extended its Brazilian network with introduction of complementary Glonass facilities via two of its seven regional reference stations, Catu and Macae.
Introduction of the independent Russian Glonass facility as a secondary GNSS satellite positioning capability will increase levels of redundancy while also enhancing seamless quality and reliability of precision - particularly during periods of local masking, scintillation or inadequate GPS geometry. The new facility now forms part of Veripos’ Standard service available worldwide, with a number of other reference stations also undergoing upgrades with combined GPS-Glonass receivers.
Using both GPS and Glonass, the augmented Standard Glonass service typically provides metre-level positioning accuracies with corrections relayed in the standard RTCM SC-104 Version 2.3 format to ensure full compatibility with user hardware and software.
