Free SeaZone Seminars
SeaZone Solutions Limited (‘SeaZone’), the marine data solutions provider created by Metoc and the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO), is inviting engineers, technicians and scientists working in the marine environment to find out more about SeaZone and influence its future at a series of free morning seminars. Delegates are invited to come and see how government and industry are using SeaZone to solve their marine headaches. They will learn about the content and structure of the various SeaZone data layers and how these can be put to use in GIS. Delegates will also see how SeaZone ‘Temporal’ is being used to display and manipulate tidal-stream and other time-dependent data in GIS as just another data layer. A representative from the UKHO will present updates on the latest developments in hydrospatial data from the UKHO and the interoperability of land and marine-based data in the coastal zone. SeaZone will also be exhibiting and presenting a workshop at the Littoral 2004 conference in Aberdeen in September (see www.littoral2004.org) and exhibiting at the AGI 2004 Exhibition and Conference in November (see www.agi2004.org.uk).
