HarbourMan Trials
Ilex Computing is currently concluding trials of its new HarbourMan survey software with Kings Lynn Port & Conservancy Trust. The software runs on a laptop computer, which is easily transported between pilot cutter, tug and office. It simplifies and automates routine harbour bathy-survey obligations by providing a low-cost PC-based package for the acquisition, processing and contouring of bathy data. Acquisition to report time is reduced by providing a graphical editor and automating many tasks such as sounding selection. Navigation backgrounds may be scanned images, such as charts/maps, hand drawn diagrams, aerial photos or graphic images, which are then geo-referenced. Final output can be integrated into the original image and saved to file or exported as a DXF file for use in CAD packages.
