Helms and Darkocean sign strategic partnership agreement

Darkocean and Helms Geomarine have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at enhancing offshore geotechnical capabilities in key regions including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Northern Europe. The collaboration focuses on strengthening local expertise and infrastructure, with a clear goal of reducing reliance on imported solutions. By combining regional knowledge with technical depth, the partners aim to deliver more responsive, efficient and locally grounded geotechnical services across diverse offshore environments.

“This partnership establishes Darkocean as the only offshore geotechnical company based in Qatar, significantly reducing the country’s dependence on imported capabilities for major projects. Unlike others, Darkocean will also offer advanced laboratory testing locally, eliminating the need to ship samples to Australia or abroad,” commented Anupam Thakur, CEO of Darkocean.

Through this collaboration, Darkocean and Helms Geomarine deliver tailored offshore geotechnical solutions that are high in quality, operationally efficient and scalable across diverse regional markets.

Headquartered in Malaysia, Helms Geomarine is an independent offshore geotechnical specialist with a growing presence across Southeast Asia, the Far East and the Middle East. The company plays a key role in supporting offshore infrastructure projects by delivering high-quality soil investigation and engineering services tailored to the demands of complex marine environments.
