Hipap 500 for Seaway Heavy Lifting

Kongsberg Maritime has been awarded a contract for delivery of a Hipap 500 underwater position reference system and will replace the existing HPR310 system on board the Stanislav Yudin.
A remote-controlled hoisting unit will deploy the Hipap 500 transducer to 3.5 metres below the keel.
The Hipap 500 is a highly accurate positioning system with dynamic beam forming and can be used in shallow and deep water. Controlling the Hipap 500 is done with the Windows-based APOS software.
Delivery and commissioning is in December 2005.
