iXBlue to Launch ComMet and GAPS NG
During Ocean Business, to be held from 9 to 11 April 2013, iXBlue will be presenting its subsea positioning solutions, a significant revolution in subsea positioning demonstrating groundbreaking technology that will change the face of subsea navigation: the ComMet combined acoustic and inertial metrology system and a new generation of GAPS NG.
ComMet is a metrology system to acquire accurate and traceable dimensional measurements of subsea structures, generally used in the design and production of interconnections between these structures. It saves time and has been developed to be robust, reliable and user-friendly.
GAPS NG is the new generation of GAPS USBL pre-calibrated system which provides open architecture and new features:
- connectivity improvement (Ethernet, more I/O)
- transponders compatibility
- telemetry
- web-based MMI
During the Offshore Survey 13 technical conference, in a session from 10:00 to 10:25 on Thursday 11 April 2013, iXBlue will be presenting ComMet, a new concept of high-precision metrology. Speaker is iXBlue acoustic business development manager, Hubert Pelletier.
iXBlue is at booth H9.
