Laser Mapping Technology at Ocean Business

Laser scanning specialist 3D Laser Mapping, UK, and laser scanning manufacturer RIEGL, Austria, are attending Ocean Business for the first time this year. Taking place from 9 to 11 April 2013 at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, UK, the event will showcase more than 300 companies offering the latest global ocean technologies. 3D Laser Mapping will be exhibiting at the RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems stand, showcasing RIEGL mobile marine laser scanning and hydrographic airborne systems.

Dr Martin Pfennigbauer, director of Research & Intellectual Property at RIEGL, will hold a workshop on the topic “RIEGL laser scanner systems for hydrographic surveying – above and below water surface” on Thursday, 11 April 2013  from 9 to 10 am in the Ray Beverton Room.
 
RIEGL and 3D Laser Mapping will be demonstrating a range of solutions for the marine and coastal sectors including robust mobile mapping systems for monitoring of coastal zones and airborne systems for hydrographic mapping. The companies are in booth V8 at the dockside exhibition hall.
 
The exhibition, training forum and accompanying conference Offshore Survey are set to attract more than 4,000 visitors from 50 countries around the world.
