MacArtney Chosen As Sytem Supplier For Galatheo 3 Expedition
The MacArtney Group Ocean Science division has been chosen as system supplier to the Danish Galathea 3 Expedition, organised by the Dansk Ekspeditionsfond (the Danish Expedition Foundation). MacArtney will deliver a system for oceanographic and envirionmental research on board one of the Danish Navy’s largest Naval Vessels Vaedderen. She will be the base for the expedition that will bring Danish scientists all over the world during 8 months from August 2006. The supply includes a dedicated CTD winch and handling system, SeaBird 24 pos. Caroussel watersampler system with dual TC and Oxygen sensors as well as a suite of sensors from Biospherical Instruments, Wetlabs & Dr. Haardt; a multipurpose Hydrographic winch and handling system with 3000m cable, Nexus Science fiberoptic telemetry system to be used with Traxius ROTV, Multinet operation, statis vertical profiling with CTD’s and other sensors; SeaBird 12 pos. Carousel watersampler withg SeaBird 911plus CTD with dual TC and Oxygen sensors; Seaeye Flacon ROV system and 2 Traxius ROTV systems equipped with SeaBird 911plus CTD with dual TC and Oxygen sensors as well as a suite of sensors from Biospherical Instruments, Wetlabs and Chelsea Technology Group.
