Marine Magnetics Awarded Injunctive Relief

In February 2003, Geometrics published Technical Report
M-TR135: Performance Comparisons Between Geometrics G-880/881 and Marine Magnetics SeaSPY Systems, providing test data regarding Marine Magnetics SeaSPY magnetometer. Marine Magnetics filed a civil action in United States District Court regarding statements made in M-TR135 concerning the SeaSPY product. As part of this action, Marine Magnetics sought injunctive relief to stop the distribution of M-TR135, pending trial on Marine Magnetics’ claims. The Court granted the preliminary injunction. As a result, until the case is tried later this year, M-TR135 and any data, assertions and conclusions based upon M-TR135 may not be published or distributed by Geometrics.
