Marine Monitoring Support Contract for ABLE Marine Energy Park

Partrac has announced the award of a marine monitoring support services contract for the ABLE Marine Energy Park (AMEP). AMEP is a fully consented infrastructure project in the Humber Estuary, UK, designed to offer port facilities for the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind. The contract comprises the supply, deployment, and maintenance of monitoring equipment, and the delivery of water quality data through baseline, construction and post-construction phases of the development.

Partrac will transmit water quality data (turbidity, dissolved oxygen and temperature) in real time to a secure operational project website. Custom designed platforms have been developed to provide reliable, secure data acquisition at the monitoring sites. The data will be used to assess the magnitude and variability of marine parameters during the baseline, construction and post-construction project phases.

The AMEP is being developed by ABLE (UK). It will represent a GBP450 million investment by ABLE and will cover an area of 900 acres, featuring 1300m of new deep-water quays.

Partrac is a marine survey and consultancy company specialising in metocean, hydrographic and geosciences data collection in support of offshore renewables, oil and gas, dredging, ports and marine construction sectors in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
