MBDA Orders IXSEA Pingers

IXSEA announced an order to supply its RP312 pingers to MBDA for use on its EXOCET missiles; these pingers allow the easy retrieval of missiles used in exercises and training. This contract is for the delivery of several dozen pingers and a maintenance contract for those already delivered.

The RP312 pinger is part of IXSEA’s range of pingers. The RP162 recovery pinger is designed for the emergency underwater recovery of data and cockpit voice recorders. The RP162 can also be used on small ROV’s, mines, and torpedoes and is a highly reliable and rugged acoustic pinger which operates up to depths of 5000m at temperatures ranging from -5°C up to +80 °C. The RP402 acoustic recovery pinger is a shallow water acoustic recovery pinger, designed specifically for use by divers as a homing device and for diver tracking.
