A tide and weather monitoring system which will further enhance the efficiency of shipping movements into the Port of Dover, UK - one of the world's busiest harbours - has been provided by Seatronics Ltd, UK. The new system has UHF telemetry link integrating it with Dover Harbour's LAN to ensure that up-to-date tide and weather information is available throughout the harbour. The applications are many.
