N-Sea acquires Geo Plus and expands subsea services
N-Sea and Geo Plus have announced that N-Sea has fully acquired Geo Plus, based in Groningen, the Netherlands. This acquisition is a strategic move for N-Sea, crucial in realizing its ambition to become the subsea services contractor of choice, while simultaneously supporting the growth ambitions of Geo Plus.
Established in 1994, Geo Plus is a globally operating service provider in the survey industry. The company operates a fleet of five highly specialized survey vessels, which are currently engaged in long-term projects in Europe and the Middle East. These fuel-efficient vessels are well equipped for all types of geophysical surveys and inspection activities.
Geo Plus offers sophisticated survey platforms and a highly qualified, experienced, and proactive marine crew. Their survey vessels are equipped with high-grade hull and moonpool mounted survey equipment. They also provide technical, survey, and operational support, and offer the possibility to charter the vessels with or without surveyors. Geo Plus maintains an attitude and culture where the highest operational excellence is established through long-term relationships with clients and partners.
The acquisition of Geo Plus by N-Sea aligns closely with N-Sea's activities and ambitions. The company provides comprehensive solutions for subsea infrastructures and assets, meeting the needs of its clients in the international oil & gas and renewable industries, all while prioritizing a safe environment.
Increased hydrographic survey capabilities
By acquiring Geo Plus, N-Sea increases its capacity and capabilities in the field of shallow water hydrographic surveys, both geophysical and geotechnical. Although Geo Plus has now become a member of the N-Sea Group, it will continue to operate as an independent company from the same office in Groningen with the same team. Currently, Geo Plus owns and operates the following vessels: Geo Ranger, Geo Focus, Geo Explorer, Geo Motion, and Geo Connection.
Patrick Defilet, managing director of Geo Plus, states: "I'm extremely happy that Geo Plus has become part of N-Sea, safeguarding our growth ambitions with a partner that is very successful in the current markets and allowing us to take full advantage of their organizational capabilities and resources, an excellent starting point for an integrated market approach!”
