New ODI Senior Vice-President

The Board of Directors of Ocean Design, Inc. has appointed John Blattel Senior Vice-President of Operations, reporting to Mike Read, President and CEO. Mr Blattel joined Ocean Design on the 1st July 2003, from Fiskars in Orlando, where he was Vice-President of Operations. His prior appointments include Plant Manager positions at Newell Rubbermaid and various Operations and Engineering positions at GE and Emerson Electric. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Capital University in Ohio and will be responsible for all operations functions at Ocean Design, including Planning, Procurement, Machine Shop, Assembly and Manufacturing Engineering.
New ODI Vice-President Europe and Managing Director Ocean Design, Inc. (ODI) has also appointed Graeme Leiper to the position of Vice-President of Europe and Managing Director of Ocean Design Europe Ltd. As of 23rd June 2003 Mr Leiper joins the management team of Ocean Design, Inc., reporting to President and CEO, Mike Read. Mr Leiper has a BSc Honours degree in physics and chemistry from St. Andrews University in Scotland and has had a distinguished career at ICI, InterCorr International and, most recently, as the Vice-President of Engineering at Kvaerner Oilfield Products. He will lead market development and sales support for Ocean Design in Europe from his office in Inverness, Scotland.
