New Office for 2G Robotics
2G Robotics, headquartered in Canada, is to open a new office in Aberdeen, Scotland. The new office will serve as the headquarters for 2G Robotics United Kingdom. Strategically situated along the shores of the North Sea, the new 2G Robotics Aberdeen office will improve the company’s ability to interact with companies who are exploring improved subsea survey and inspection technology.
The recently released ULS-500 Underwater Laser Scanning system is designed to obtain high-resolution point-cloud data while moving, deployed on an ROV or AUV. The system obtains sub-millimetre resolution point-cloud data faster than traditional survey tools. With this improved quality of information, asset managers can reduce risks when making crucial decisions about asset safety, integrity and longevity.
