Njord Survey wins Equinor framework for offshore pipeline integrity work
Njord Survey has been awarded a three-year framework agreement by Equinor for pipeline inspection and integrity work across European waters. The contract builds on a track record of successful collaboration between the two companies and will support safe, reliable offshore operations through high-resolution geophysical surveys conducted from low-emission vessels.
The agreement – with an option to extend for a further year – reflects Njord Survey's standing in data quality, advanced processing, and efficient offshore execution, as well as a close alignment with Equinor on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
"We are incredibly happy and proud to secure this long-term agreement with Equinor," says Philip Ljungström, project director at Njord Survey. "Our teams at sea and onshore have shown exceptional collaboration and precision. This is a great example of how advanced technology, strong client collaboration, and our commitment to sustainability go hand in hand. Equinor has one of the highest focuses on quality and HSE in the world, which aligns perfectly with our own rigorous HSE work and operational philosophy."
Net-zero mindset
Under the framework, all offshore campaigns will be executed on a fully carbon-neutral basis. This reflects a core principle of Njord Survey's operational model: that environmental responsibility and high performance are complementary rather than competing priorities.
"This long-term agreement truly reflects what Njord Survey stands for," adds Martin Wikmar, CEO of Njord Survey. "We push boundaries, deliver smarter and safer solutions, and do it while maintaining a net-zero mindset. I'm proud of our people – their dedication to effective operations and carbon-neutral surveys continues to set new standards for sustainable offshore surveying."
The contract consolidates Njord Survey's position as a trusted partner for critical offshore infrastructure. The Swedish company specializes in geophysical and visual seabed investigations across Northern Europe and operates one of the sector's most advanced low-emission vessel fleets, placing it among a small number of survey companies worldwide capable of delivering fully carbon-neutral offshore operations.
