Nortek Brazil expands local support network with strategic offshore partnership
Nortek Brazil has taken a significant step to ensure that users of precision sensors in some of the world's most demanding offshore environments can depend on the necessary speed and quality of technical support by forming a new partnership with OGEQUIP Produtos e Serviços Marítimos. The company will now serve as an authorized local service provider for Nortek ADCPs, current meters and DVLs across Brazil.
The move is part of a broader strategy to bring technical support closer to the people who need it most. Nortek Brazil has been steadily expanding its local capabilities to better serve users operating in coastal and offshore environments. The addition of OGEQUIP represents a natural next step in that process.
Local capabilities, broader reach
OGEQUIP is based in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, the operational heartland of Brazil's offshore industry, and has built a strong reputation for its expertise in sensors, electronics and subsea systems. Since its founding, the company has been structured to meet the exacting technical demands of the offshore sector, with a track record in maintenance, diagnostics and the integration of subsea equipment. Its facilities are also set to expand, with a hyperbaric chamber capable of testing equipment at depths of up to 3,000m in the pipeline, enabling diagnostics and verification under conditions that closely replicate real-world operations.
Through the partnership, Nortek sensor users in Brazil will have access to an authorized local structure for a range of technical services, including basic operational fault assessment, technical diagnostics, calibration support, and functional inspections and verification. Commercial discussions, remote technical support, application specifications and customer relationship management will continue to be handled directly by Nortek Brazil.
For Nortek Brazil, the initiative is about more than convenience. The partnership is designed to reduce operational risks, shorten response times and strengthen user confidence, particularly in critical operations where sensor reliability is fundamental to decision-making and safety. It reinforces the company's established reputation for responsive service, paired with sensors known for their robustness and reliability.
Nortek has indicated it will closely monitor the results of the collaboration as part of its ongoing commitment to developing local capabilities and strengthening the technical ecosystem supporting its operations in Brazil.
