Nortek Opens Australian Office to Build on Regional Demand

Nortek, a company specialized in Doppler-based measurements in marine environments, has opened its latest global office in Melbourne, Australia. This facilitates access to cutting-edge Doppler instrumentation for researchers and engineers in Australia and New Zealand.

This is the company’s first office in the region, creating a strong local point of contact for sales and support. The Port Melbourne office also gives Nortek a platform from which to extend its reach throughout Australia and New Zealand, an area that has been important for the company since it was founded over two decades ago.

Many Years of Experience

The team currently consists of Yarran Crichton and Harry Hughes. Yarran Crichton, Director of Nortek Australia, has many years’ experience of working with oceanographic equipment, collaborating closely with Nortek on product deployment and development. Harry Hughes, Sales Engineer, recently joined the team and has ten years’ experience in various environmental consultancy roles, with a focus on marine-based surveys and metocean monitoring.
