Ocean Business 2021 Kicks Off in Southampton
Ocean Business 2021 gets underway today. The event, traditionally held in Southampton, UK, provides a platform where over 300 suppliers gather to showcase the latest products, technologies and techniques that will transform the hydrographic business.
On and around the exhibition floor, attendants can see marine autonomous systems, biological and chemical sensors, survey tools and so much more in action. Visitors can also test drive the newest products in the dockside waters, on board vessels, in the test tank and in classrooms. The full training and demonstration programme is available here.
New for 2021 is the free innovation and sustainability conference. Speakers include Ralph Rayner from the NOAA IOOS Program Office, Iman Hill, executive director at IOGP, and Alex Rogers, science director at REV Ocean, plus many more. They will share their insights into how businesses can adapt to the energy transition, reach net zero emission targets and become more sustainable.
Ocean Business also offers the Ocean Careers Programme, where job opportunities and careers advice in marine science and ocean technology take centre stage. At this side event, attendants can listen to presentations from professionals who offer their valuable insights.
