Offshore Accommodation and Support Services

Ferguson Modular is to invest in additional operational staff and customer support personnel while investing in new facilities at their key strategic international bases in Australia, Singapore, Norway and United Arab Emirates. A further GBP5 million has gone towards increasing their hire fleet of accommodation and workspace modules both in the UK and their operating bases around the world.


The new units include innovative office, laboratory, test cabin and MWD (Measurement While Drilling) cabins. It brings the total number of Ferguson Modular units to over 300 with plans to add a further 70+ units in 2011.


Gary Wilson, director of business development at Ferguson Modular, said to have had strong demand in recent months for accommodation complexes to support hook up and commissioning of new platforms in locations including Australia, South East Asia, the Caspian and the North Sea. "Our investment in additional units for our fleet will ensure we have accommodation and workspace units immediately available to support all sectors of the energy industry from exploration and production to decommissioning and renewables.


"Ferguson Modular's ethos is all about offering far more than just a product - we also offer round-the-clock support. We have a dedicated project team for accommodation complex projects and field service engineers as well as commissioning technicians on the ground in a variety of locations to ensure our customers have the support they require in the field.''


He added: "We work on all sizes of project from supplying small numbers of specialist units to tailoring full accommodation complexes for up to 150 POB (persons on board) for customers from super majors to service companies."
