Offshore Energy 2024 programme takes shape
Amsterdam will be the vibrant host city for the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) on 26–27 November, where industry leaders from across the maritime and offshore energy sectors will converge. Organized by Navingo, this annual event has become a cornerstone for professionals in offshore wind, oil & gas, marine energy and hydrogen. This year’s gathering promises to bring together top decision makers from companies such as Damen, Van Oord, Liebherr and Renewable UK, offering a dynamic platform for networking, business opportunities and in-depth discussions on the latest trends and innovations shaping the industry.
The global energy system is undergoing a transformation, yet the pace of progress remains slower than necessary. While renewable energy capacity is expanding and alternative fuels are gaining traction, the world is still tethered to the traditional comforts of gas heating and fossil fuel-powered vehicles. To accelerate the transition towards a future powered by clean electrons and molecules, the offshore energy sector must move beyond mere collaboration and embrace a deeper, more integrated approach.
Complex ecosystem
The offshore energy industry is a complex ecosystem, comprising offshore wind, marine energy – including wave, tidal and floating solar technologies – hydrogen and conventional fossil fuels such as oil, gas and LNG. This sector is further supported by advancements in green marine technology, with a focus on vessels powered by clean and alternative fuels. A cohesive and synergistic approach across these verticals and their associated industries is essential to achieving the ambitious goal of net-zero emissions.
OEEC 2024 aims to reflect this necessary harmony by offering a comprehensive platform for the industry to address critical issues. It will include focused sessions on offshore wind, hydrogen and cross-cutting topics that impact the entire offshore energy sector.
This year’s event will feature a robust programme over two days, including six conference sessions, a Stage programme and company presentations on The Square. The full programme is available on the official website, although updates are still ongoing as final details are confirmed.
Attendees registering for OEEC will have access to the exhibition floor, all conference sessions, the Stage and Square programmes, official networking events and a variety of side events and workshops. With an emphasis on fostering high-quality networking opportunities, OEEC provides industry professionals with the tools to connect with key leaders and drive business forward. The matchmaking tool, meeting rooms and business lounge are designed to enhance these networking experiences, ensuring meaningful engagement within the industry.
