Offshore Survey Equipment Order
Chinese oil company CNOOC has placed an order with A.P. van den Berg for the delivery of a WISON-APB seafloor survey system. COSL, subsidiary of this company, will use this sytem on one of their geotechnical drill vessel in the South-Chinese sea.
This is the second Chinese order in a short while, after the delivery of a land survey vehicle. A.P. van den Berg exports the majority of its products world-wide. Oil companies are surveying existing oil and gas fields very intensively as the demand for fossil fuels is huge. They also are searching for new fields in deeper water. Before starting constructions to win oil, geotechnical survey of the seafloor is indispensable.
