Offshore Wind Power Forum

The Offshore Wind Power Forum, to be held in Philadelphia during 2–3 February 2010, is the only event which will bring together all stakeholders in offshore wind to discuss and debate how these nascent projects in North America can catch up with the success of onshore wind.

Global offshore wind capacity has now reached 1.5GW, with another 1.5GW under construction. In the US, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) has been receiving lease applications for offshore wind farms since June 2009. With the North American regulatory environment now supporting the development of offshore wind, the market looks set for rapid growth.

For the opportunity to connect with leading developers, policy makers, utilities and market experts, to examine the challenges that need to be overcome and create a roadmap for the successful deployment of offshore wind farms, attendance at the Offshore Wind Power Forum is recommended. Delegates will have the opportunity to: meet representatives from the MMS and question them on leasing, application and siting; learn from developers experiences from the first offshore projects in the US and from the successful Horns Rev 2 farm in Europe; find out what challenges they faced in deploying their projects and how they were overcome and examine the business case for offshore wind in North America.

The Offshore Wind Power Forum is essential for anyone seeking new business opportunities in these exciting and rapidly growing markets. Register today to secure your place and to benefit from the early booking discounts.
