Oi26 launches visitor registration and introduces expanded focus on coastal innovation

Oceanology International 2026 has opened visitor registration, setting the tone for what promises to be a pivotal global meeting point for ocean science, engineering and technology. When the event returns to ExCeL London from 10 to 12 March 2026, it will once again unite a worldwide community of professionals driving developments across the fast-evolving ocean economy. With more than 8,000 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors expected, Oi maintains its position as a central hub for business, innovation and high-level collaboration across the marine sector.

A major development for the 2026 edition is the introduction of COAST, a dedicated exhibition zone and conference track focused on coastal and shallow-water markets. Its arrival reflects the growing strategic importance of coastal resilience, infrastructure and nearshore engineering, particularly as governments and industries respond to environmental pressures and long-term economic priorities. COAST is expected to attract an expanded mix of professionals, including coastal engineers, hydrographers, geotechnical specialists, energy experts, oceanographers, site investigators and marine surveyors.

Royal Victoria Dock

Across both the exhibition halls and the dockside, Oi26 is set to feature more than 100 global product and service launches. The unique combination of ExCeL’s extensive indoor space and direct access to the Royal Victoria Dock enables a blend of demonstrations that few events can offer. Companies will not only showcase their latest technologies but also put them through live, on-water demonstrations, giving visitors the opportunity to assess new vehicles, imaging systems, sonar solutions and advanced instrumentation in realistic conditions.

A comprehensive conference programme reinforces Oi26’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and strategic insight. Sessions will examine the technologies and frameworks shaping the future of ocean exploration, environmental monitoring and sustainable marine operations. The Ocean Futures theatre will gather leading voices from industry, academia and government to discuss market developments and evolving enterprise strategies. Meanwhile, the Future Tech Hub will shine a spotlight on the start-ups and accelerators building the next generation of technological ecosystems.

Innovation and industry dialogue

Mike Enser, marketing manager for Oceanology International, notes that anticipation for Oi26 is already strong. He emphasizes the organizers’ commitment to delivering three days of exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, keynotes and one-to-one meetings that offer clear business value. The introduction of COAST, he adds, creates a timely gateway for companies operating in coastal and shallow-water environments to connect with a highly engaged global audience. Oi’s reputation, built over decades, continues to make it a must-attend event for professionals looking to understand and capitalize on emerging technologies and new market directions.

With registration now open, Oceanology International 2026 positions itself as a key moment on the calendar for organizations seeking growth, partnership opportunities and strategic alignment within the expanding global ocean economy.
