Slick Sleuth Oil Spill Detection & Alarm Systems are used for immediate detection, early warning alert, containment and prevention of accidental spills, averting environmental damage, costly cleanup, and possible fines or regulatory penalties. The optical sensor detects small amounts of oil and can be configured to automatically shut off pumps or valves, activate alarms and provide remote alert notification.
Slick Sleuth's non-contact design is ideal for remote deployment in rugged settings such as coastal, harbors, inland waterways, industrial spillways, boiler and engine-generator rooms, sumps and separators. Slick Sleuths are deployed at various industrial sites including power distribution facilities, bulk storage and loading terminals, refineries, transportation facilities, manufacturing and processing plants and numerous other commercial and industrial locations.
Slick Sleuth is highly sensitive to the detection of crude, turbine, lube, hydraulic, fuel and most other hydrocarbon derivatives. Slick Sleuth is mounted above the target surface facilitating ease of installation and eliminating operation and maintenance expenses. Slick Sleuth is able to detect oil on water, dry concrete or ground surfaces.
